The Guardian Family shall maintain primary physical possession of the Dog throughout the term of this Agreement, subject to the Breeder's breeding and program needs.
The Breeder reserves the right to temporarily take possession of the Dog for:
- semen collection,
- reproductive evaluations,
- breeding services,
- health testing,
- veterinary appointments, or
- other breeding-related purposes.
Reasonable notice will be provided whenever possible; however, the Guardian Family understands that breeding timing may occasionally require short-notice scheduling.
The Dog may remain in the Breeder's care from several hours up to several days depending on breeding needs.
The Dog may be utilized for breeding purposes beginning after approximately twelve (12) months of age, provided the Dog has demonstrated appropriate health, temperament, and breeding viability as determined by the Breeder.
The Dog will generally retire from the breeding program on or before approximately six (6) years of age unless otherwise determined by the Breeder.
The Guardian Family shall not sell, lease, transfer, surrender, or otherwise rehome the Dog without prior written consent from the Breeder.
The Breeder reserves the right to visit the Guardian Home upon reasonable notice to evaluate the Dog's living conditions, care, health, and wellbeing.
