2. Deposit Terms

The Buyer agrees to place a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $500 to reserve a puppy from the above litter. The deposit shall be applied toward the final purchase price of the puppy specified below.

Puppy selections will typically occur at approximately five (5) to six (6) weeks of age, at the Breeder's discretion.

The Buyer understands that puppy selection is a date-sensitive process and agrees to participate in the scheduled puppy selection meeting, whether conducted in person, by video call, or through another method designated by the Breeder.

The Buyer agrees to make their puppy selection within the timeframe provided by the Breeder during the selection process.

Failure to attend the scheduled selection meeting, respond within the designated timeframe, or maintain communication with the Breeder may result in forfeiture of the Buyer's deposit and release of the reserved puppy to another family.

The Buyer understands that temperament, structure, health, and overall suitability may be considered by the Breeder during puppy placement decisions in order to help ensure the best possible match for each family.

The Breeder reserves the right to retain any puppy from the litter for breeding or program purposes.

3. Refund & Transfer Policy

The deposit is non-refundable except under the following circumstances:

  • the litter does not produce a sufficient number of puppies;
  • the reserved gender is unavailable and no mutually agreed alternative is selected;
  • the puppy is deemed unfit for placement due to a significant health concern as determined by a licensed veterinarian; or
  • the Breeder elects not to place a puppy with the Buyer.

If one of the above situations occurs, the Buyer may choose either:

  • transfer of the deposit to a future litter; or
  • a full refund of the deposit.

Deposits are otherwise non-refundable, including but not limited to:

  • change of mind, allergies, landlord or housing restrictions, family disagreements, scheduling conflicts, financial changes, lifestyle changes

The Buyer understands that puppy appearance, coat texture, size, markings, and color may naturally vary and are not guaranteed.

4. Final Payment

The remaining balance is due upon veterinary clearance of the puppy, typically around six (6) to seven (7) weeks of age, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

The Seller reserves the right to withhold release of the puppy until full payment has been received and verified.

5. Puppy Pickup & Boarding

Puppies will not be released before eight (8) weeks of age.

Pickup or delivery arrangements must be scheduled within three (3) days of the puppy's agreed-upon release date unless prior arrangements have been approved by the Breeder.

If the puppy remains in the Breeder's care beyond the scheduled pickup date, a boarding fee of $35 per day may apply.

The Buyer acknowledges that extended stays may require additional veterinary care, vaccinations, deworming, grooming, training, or other age-appropriate care, all of which shall be the responsibility of the Buyer.

If the Buyer fails to arrange pickup, maintain communication, or fulfill payment obligations within a reasonable timeframe, the Breeder reserves the right to consider the puppy abandoned, retain all monies paid, and place the puppy with another family.

6. Breeder Guarantees

The Breeder guarantees that the puppy will be in good general health at the time of release.

Prior to placement, the puppy will have received:

  • age-appropriate vaccinations,
  • routine deworming, and
  • a veterinary wellness examination.

Copies of available veterinary records will be provided to the Buyer at pickup.

7. Buyer Commitment

The Buyer agrees to:

  • provide a safe, loving, and stable home;
  • provide proper nutrition, veterinary care, and socialization;
  • maintain the puppy as a family companion;
  • never surrender the dog to a shelter, rescue, research facility, or similar organization; and
  • contact the Breeder first if rehoming ever becomes necessary.

The Buyer understands that raising a puppy requires ongoing commitment, patience, training, and financial responsibility.

8. Entire Agreement

This Agreement represents the entire understanding between the parties and shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah.

No verbal statements or promises shall be considered legally binding unless included in writing within this Agreement.
