The Process
From inquiry to breeding day
Four straightforward steps.
Step 1
Inquiry & Approval
Submit an inquiry with your dam's pedigree, age, weight, color, and Embark + OFA results. We review every request to make sure the match is responsible and a good fit for the litter.
Step 2
Reserve Your Date
Once approved, a $500 non-refundable booking deposit secures your spot. Deposit applies toward the stud fee.
Step 3
Pre-Breeding Testing
Within 30 days of breeding the dam must show a clean negative brucellosis test. Progesterone testing (at the dam owner's vet) confirms timing.
Step 4
Breeding
Live cover or AI at our facility in Ogden, Utah — typically 1–2 sessions over the optimal window. Remainder of the stud fee is due before the breeding.

Stud fees range from $1,500 to $2,500 depending on the boy, his pedigree, color genetics, and whether the dam is approved. A $500 non-refundable booking deposit reserves your spot and applies toward the total fee. Pick-of-the-litter arrangements are considered case-by-case.
We're in Ogden, Utah and welcome dams from across the Wasatch Front and surrounding states. We can also work with chilled or shipped semen for out-of-state dams through our partner reproductive vet.
We require a current negative brucellosis test (within 30 days of breeding), a full Embark genetic panel that pairs well with our stud's genetic profile, and OFA or equivalent hip/elbow/eye clearances. Progesterone testing is required to time the breeding correctly.
Yes. If the dam does not produce a live litter from the agreed-upon breeding (provided all testing requirements were met and timing followed our recommendations), we'll offer a free repeat breeding on the dam's next cycle.
Yes. We work with a board-certified reproductive vet for collection, packaging, and overnight shipment of chilled semen to your vet for AI. Shipping and collection costs are billed separately from the stud fee.
Provided all health and timing requirements were satisfied, you'll receive one complimentary repeat breeding on her next cycle. The booking deposit and stud fee carry over.

Agreement Terms
1.
Parties & Stud
This agreement is between MTN Green Doodles ("Stud Owner") and the Dam Owner identified below. The specific stud and dam are recorded in the signature block. The Dam Owner certifies that they are the legal owner of the dam and have authority to enter into this breeding agreement.
2.
Stud Fee & Payment
A $500 non-refundable booking deposit reserves the breeding date and applies toward the agreed stud fee. The remaining balance of the stud fee is due in full before the first breeding session. The booking deposit is transferable to the dam's next cycle but is not refundable.
3.
Health & Genetic Requirements
Within thirty (30) days of the breeding, the Dam Owner must provide: (a) a clean, negative brucellosis test, (b) a current Embark genetic panel for the dam, (c) OFA or equivalent hip, elbow, and eye clearances appropriate for her breed, and (d) any additional testing recommended for the cross. MTN Green Doodles reserves the right to decline any breeding if testing reveals incompatible results or untreated concerns.
4.
Timing & Progesterone
The Dam Owner is responsible for progesterone testing at their veterinarian to identify the optimal breeding window. The Dam Owner agrees to communicate test results promptly and follow timing recommendations.
5.
Breeding Method
Live cover is offered when feasible. Surgical or chilled artificial insemination is available through our partner reproductive veterinarian, with collection, shipping, and AI costs billed separately. The Dam Owner is responsible for travel logistics to and from MTN Green Doodles in Ogden, Utah, or for AI shipping costs.
6.
Live Puppy Guarantee
If the dam does not produce at least one live puppy from the agreed breeding — provided all testing requirements above were satisfied and timing followed our recommendations — MTN Green Doodles will provide one complimentary repeat breeding on the dam's next cycle. The booking deposit and stud fee carry forward. There are no cash refunds.
7.
Pick of Litter (If Applicable)
If the parties have separately agreed on a pick-of-the-litter arrangement in lieu of, or in addition to, the stud fee, the specific pick order, timing, and transportation arrangements will be documented in writing and attached to this agreement.
8.
Health, Care & Welfare
MTN Green Doodles will ensure the stud is in good physical condition prior to breeding. The Dam Owner certifies the dam is in good health, current on vaccinations, on parasite prevention, and free of any condition that would put the stud at risk.
9.
No Ownership Transfer
No ownership of the stud, his genetic material, or any future litters from him transfers to the Dam Owner. The Dam Owner agrees not to misrepresent the stud's ownership or breeding rights in any advertising or pedigree documentation for the resulting litter.
10.
Communication & Disputes
Both parties agree to communicate in good faith and resolve any concerns directly and respectfully. Any disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties will be addressed under the laws of the State of Utah.
11.
Electronic Signature
By signing below, the Dam Owner certifies they have read, understood, and agree to the full terms of this Stud Service Agreement.
